A crown (sometimes called a cap) is a dependable solution for teeth that have been significantly damaged by decay, fractures, accidents, or everyday wear and tear. A crown fully covers the tooth, restoring it to its original size, shape, and strength. When a tooth cannot be predictably restored with a filling or other treatment, a crown provides the protection and durability needed to preserve your smile.
At our office, we use advanced technology — including CEREC same-day crowns — to deliver beautiful, long-lasting results with maximum convenience.
Developed by Dentsply Sirona (formerly Sirona Dental Systems), CEREC revolutionized dentistry by making it possible to design, create, and place custom ceramic restorations in a single visit.
Unlike traditional crowns that require multiple appointments and temporary restorations, CEREC crowns are fabricated and placed in one comfortable appointment. The result is a natural-looking, all-ceramic restoration that is both strong and aesthetically pleasing.
All-Ceramic & Biocompatible
CEREC crowns are made from durable ceramic material that blends beautifully with your natural teeth. They are metal-free, biocompatible, and resistant to wear.
Single-Visit Convenience
Traditionally, receiving a crown required:
With CEREC technology, everything is completed in one visit — saving you time and eliminating the need for a temporary crown.
Precise & Customized Fit
Digital technology allows for exceptional accuracy and detail, resulting in a restoration that fits comfortably and functions naturally.
After preparing the tooth, we take a digital impression using a specialized 3D camera — no messy impression material required. This image is transferred to a computer, where your crown is designed using advanced CAD (computer-aided design) software.
The design is then sent to our in-office milling unit, which fabricates your custom, color-matched crown in approximately 25 minutes.
Once completed, your crown is carefully fitted, polished, and securely bonded in place. The entire process typically takes about two hours, depending on the complexity of the case.
Today, millions of CEREC restorations have been successfully completed worldwide. It remains one of the most trusted and proven technologies in modern dentistry — offering strength, beauty, and convenience all in one appointment.
