Fillings

A composite (tooth-colored) filling is used to repair a tooth that has been affected by decay, cracks, or fractures. This treatment restores both the health and natural appearance of your tooth — often in just one visit.

Composite (Tooth-Colored) Fillings

During your appointment, the decayed or damaged portion of the tooth will be carefully removed and the area thoroughly cleaned. If the decay is close to the nerve, a medicated liner may be placed to help the nerve heal and reduce the likelihood of post-operative sensitivity.

Once the tooth is prepared, the composite material is skillfully placed, shaped, and polished to restore your tooth to its original shape, function, and natural look.

After Your Filling

It is normal to experience some temporary sensitivity to hot and cold following placement. This sensitivity is typically mild and should subside as your tooth adjusts to the new filling.
